Education Can Open Doors

Brenda's Graduation

The Lasting Impact of Educational Support After the Success Academy

In May, Brenda celebrated a milestone that she had worked toward for years – graduating with a degree as an industrial engineering technician from Gerardo Barrios University in El Salvador.

Brenda’s journey has not been an easy one. She lost her parents at a young age and grew up without the support of a family. Yet she never let go of her goal of continuing her education and creating a better future for herself.

In 2019, Brenda graduated from Counteract’s Success Academy and set her sights on a professional career. Through an educational scholarship provided by Counteract, she was able to continue her studies and take the next step toward that goal.

Today, at 26 years old, Brenda lives with her husband and their one-year-old daughter. Her family has become a source of encouragement as she continues building a stable future and pursuing new opportunities.

Brenda’s graduation is another example of what can happen when young people are given support, guidance, and the opportunity to continue their education. We are excited for all she has accomplished and look forward to continuing to encourage her in her journey.
